Our approach emphasizes practical learning, sound decision-making, and training shaped around the people, equipment, procedures, and operating environment of each client.

Chief Eugene W. Johnson Jr. is CEO and Chief Instructor of Hazmat Response Solutions LLC. A retired EMS Assistant Chief with 25+ years as a first responder, he is a Level 4 Hazmat Specialist, BCSP STS/STSC, OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer, and HAZWOPER, AHA, and Red Cross faculty instructor who brings real-world command experience to every class.

Over 38 years of experience in emergency services, beginning as an EMT with the Ocean City, NJ Rescue Squad and Wildwood Fire Department, followed by work as a paramedic, EMS chief, and EMS physician. He serves as a full-time, double board-certified EMS medical director for more than 100 police, tactical, beach patrol, fire, and EMS departments and agencies across six states, including FEMA PA-TF1 USAR and American Medical Response. His experience includes field response, bedside teaching, emergency medicine education, multiple NAEMT and NAEMSP instructor programs, Advanced Haz-Mat Life Support, NJ EMT instruction, pediatric and neonatal critical care transport, technical rescue, SCUBA, tactical medicine, and wilderness medicine. He has served as a Clinical Instructor of Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.
